trees by 2030 (goal)

The problem

Land is degrading faster than it is being restored.

India has committed to restore 26 million hectares by 2030. Meeting that takes trees that survive, on land that is mapped, with results funders can check. Planting alone doesn’t prove any of that.

Our solution

Restoration you can measure, verify and build on

How Grow Billion Trees closes that gap.

We restore land

Agroforestry, Miyawaki forests, mangroves and water bodies, planted with native species by on-ground teams.

400+ companies plant with us

We make it verifiable

GreenTrack tracks every tree from day one with geo-tags, photos and satellite checks, so each claim holds up to an audit.

85% survival, program-wide

We make it count

Farmers keep the income from fruit and timber. Communities plant and care for the trees. The land gets back soil, water and wildlife, and companies get audit-ready CSR and ESG impact.

Questions companies ask us

How do you measure and report tree survival?

Every tree is geo-tagged and survival is counted per project. Across all our programmes, survival is 85%. The method is explained on our survival page, and each client sees their own numbers on GreenTrack.

Does tree plantation count as CSR under Schedule VII?

Yes. Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 lists environmental sustainability, ecological balance, agroforestry and conservation of natural resources as CSR activities. We provide the project documentation and reports your CSR filing needs.

What data do we get for BRSR and ESG reporting?

Each project reports trees planted, species, locations, survival and estimated CO₂ on GreenTrack, with certificates you can use in ESG and BRSR disclosures.

How big does a programme need to be, and what does it cost?

It depends on the programme type, location and years of maintenance. Tell us your goal and budget and we will send a programme plan.

Where do you plant, and can we see our site?

We plant across India; the project map on this page shows sites. Every client gets a digital forest page with geo-tagged trees, and our team can talk to you about visiting a site.
