Blithchron, the vibrant annual cultural fest of IIT Gandhinagar, extends its spirit of community, creativity, and youthful energy through Ananta, a sustainability-themed run that brings people together for a greener future. Going beyond fitness and celebration, the initiative promotes environmental responsibility by connecting students, NGOs, changemakers, and industry leaders through a shared commitment to sustainability. As part of this vision, Blithchron supports an agroforestry tree plantation initiative, integrating trees with farmlands to restore green cover, improve soil health, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen local ecosystems.

As a meaningful recognition of participants’ dedication and achievement, marathon winners are honored with trees planted in agroforestry landscapes. These trees serve as living symbols of endurance, growth, and collective responsibility while providing long-term ecological and community benefits such as carbon absorption, shade, habitat, and potential support for local farmers through fruit-bearing trees. Through Ananta, every run becomes a step towards meaningful climate action, creating a lasting green legacy that continues well beyond the finish line.
