Net Zero Tree Plantation for Companies

Trees remove carbon slowly and should complement, not replace, cutting your own emissions. In a net-zero plan, plantation fits as a carbon removal for residual emissions and as climate action beyond your value chain. Grow Billion Trees plants native and agroforestry projects, estimates carbon per tree by species and age, and reports it per project.

Net zero, briefly

  • India has announced a national target of net-zero emissions by 2070.
  • Credible corporate net-zero plans cut a company's own emissions first and use removals for what is left.
  • Trees take years to store meaningful carbon, so plantation belongs in long-term plans, not one-year claims.
  • Carbon claims should match measured, project-level data.

What we deliver

  • Fit to your roadmap: We map where plantation supports your net-zero targets and where it doesn't.
  • Removal projects: Native forests and agroforestry planted and cared for on mapped land.
  • Carbon estimates: Carbon estimated tree by tree, by species and age, and updated as trees grow.
  • Disclosure-ready data: Per-project data for your sustainability report, ESG and BRSR disclosures.

How it works

  1. Review your emissions roadmap
  2. Choose programme and region
  3. Plant and geo-tag
  4. Monitor growth and survival
  5. Report carbon per project

What you get

  • Project plan aligned to your net-zero roadmap
  • Geo-tagged tree records
  • Carbon estimate per project
  • Survival report (85% program-wide)
  • Annual impact report

Frequently asked questions

Can trees offset our company's emissions?

Trees can remove carbon over time, but credible net-zero plans cut your own emissions first and use removals for residual emissions. We help you position plantation that way.

How is the carbon from your trees estimated?

Carbon is estimated tree by tree using species and age, and reported per project as the trees grow.

What is the difference between an offset and a removal?

An offset compensates for emissions elsewhere, for example by avoiding them. A removal takes carbon out of the air, which is what growing trees do.

Are these carbon credits?

Not by default. Plantation becomes a carbon credit only when registered and verified under a recognised standard. See our carbon credits page for the routes.

How long until the trees store meaningful carbon?

Several years. That is why we report carbon per project over time rather than claiming it all on planting day.
