With 25 acres of dedicated land, TCI is creating a thriving green cover by planting timber trees that serve a dual purpose, enhancing urban biodiversity while fostering sustainable wood production.
This initiative reflects TCI’s vision of combining ecological responsibility with long-term resource sustainability. By focusing on timber trees, the project ensures that future generations benefit from renewable wood resources, reducing reliance on non-sustainable alternatives. Malabar Neem, Mahogany, Teak, and Sheesham are highly valuable timber trees that contribute significantly to ecology and economy. Malabar Neem grows rapidly, making it ideal for Urban forestry, carbon sequestration, and sustainable wood supply. Mahogany is prized for its durable, termite-resistant hardwood used in premium furniture and interiors. Teak is world-renowned for its strength, weather resistance, and natural oils, making it the preferred choice for construction, shipbuilding, and outdoor furniture. Sheesham, or Indian Rosewood, provides tough, beautifully grained timber for carvings, furniture, and flooring while also improving soil fertility through nitrogen fixation.
