Stonex Global Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2001, is a leading luxury natural stone brand in India, known for its premium marble, architectural surfaces, and innovations like transparent pricing. Guided by a deep sense of responsibility, the company believes true excellence is measured not only by creations but also by contributions to society and the environment.
In Kishangarh, Rajasthan, Stonex Global has launched a green initiative in collaboration with local farmers to plant 10,000 trees. These trees symbolize resilience, hope, and renewal—restoring soil, conserving water, improving air quality, and reviving biodiversity. They also offer shade, welcome birds, and bring ecological balance to the land, ensuring benefits for generations to come.
Beyond environmental restoration, the initiative strengthens farming communities by weaving trees into farmland, creating stability, opportunity, and resilience against climate change. For Stonex Global, this is more than a plantation drive—it is a commitment to progress that embraces people, planet, and prosperity, pledging a future where growth and sustainability flourish together.

Planting Methodology and Its Advantages
Agroforestry: StoneX Global’s tree plantation initiative is based on the agroforestry concept, a sustainable land management practice that promotes environmental conservation while supporting local sustainability efforts. This initiative contributes to long-term ecological balance while enhancing carbon sequestration and biodiversity. Agroforestry helps improve soil health, enhance water retention, and reduce soil erosion, ensuring sustainable land use. Additionally, it reduces dependence on chemical fertilizers, fosters natural pest control, and creates microclimatic benefits, such as temperature regulation, wind protection, and shade for companion crops.
StoneX Global recognizes agroforestry as a strategic approach to environmental sustainability, ecological restoration, and carbon footprint reduction. This initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to responsible environmental practices, contributing to a greener planet and a more sustainable future.
Advantages of Agroforestry
-
Increased Farmer Incomes: This approach helps in increasing the farmer’s income by as much as 3 times. Farmers benefit from diversified income sources, lifting economic resilience.
-
Improved Livelihoods: Agroforestry enhances farmers' resilience to economic and climate-related shocks by creating more sustainable and diversified farming systems.
-
Biodiversity Promotion: Agroforestry supports a diverse range of plants and animals, creating habitats for wildlife and improving ecosystem health.
-
Environmental Sustainability: This model reduces carbon emissions and promotes sustainable land management, aligning with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
-
Food Security: Agroforestry enhances agricultural productivity and food availability by integrating fruit-bearing trees with crops, contributing to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger).
-
Carbon Sequestration: Trees planted through agroforestry absorb carbon dioxide, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
-
Climate Resilience: Agroforestry helps mitigate climate change impacts by improving land productivity and fostering biodiversity.
-
Improved Soil and Water Management: Trees enhance soil fertility, reduce erosion, and increase water retention, resulting in more resilient farming.
Activities During Tree Plantation
The day before the plantation event, the ground team worked hard to prepare the land. Trenches were carefully dug to aid in water retention and prevent soil erosion, ensuring the ideal environment for the saplings. The saplings were then arranged in their respective spots, ready to be planted the following day. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as we geared up for the big day.
As part of the agroforestry initiative by StoneX, a tree plantation event was successfully organized to promote environmental conservation and sustainability. The event was graced by the presence of Archana Agarwal, the CSR Head, StoneX Foundation, along with the enthusiastic employees of StoneX. The plantation drive saw enthusiastic participation from the StoneX team, making it a collaborative and impactful step towards building a greener future.
Over the following month, the plantation activity progressed steadily as saplings were carefully planted and nurtured, ultimately completing the plantation phase of the project. Each planted sapling symbolized a shared commitment to sustainability, resilience, and ecological restoration. The initiative brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by a common purpose: to create a greener, healthier future for generations to come and long-term livelihood security for rural communities.
