For every home interior project completed, Bella Designs plants trees in the name of their clients, transforming gratitude into green legacy. These trees aren’t just symbols; they are real, thriving contributions to reforestation, carbon offset, and the revitalization of urban landscapes. This initiative supports the creation of lush green spaces within city environments, improving biodiversity, air quality, and emotional well-being.

Their plantation drive is more than a corporate responsibility; it’s a philosophy rooted in a balance between creation and conservation. By weaving sustainability into the heart of its design process, Bella Designs is not only curating beautiful homes but also nurturing a healthier planet. For them, giving back to nature for every space they create isn’t just a gesture; it’s a guiding principle that ensures their vision is as timeless and grounded as the trees they plant.

Name of Species: Cannon Ball, Jackfruit, Shisham, Kadamb, Mahogany, Pink Poi, Bargad, Pipal, African tulip, Neem, Karanj, Harshringar, Wild Badam, Indian Cork tree, Jamun, Rudraksh, Gulmohar

Species Selection & Its Benefits 

The species selected for Bella Designs’ urban forest initiative were thoughtfully chosen to promote ecological balance, cultural relevance, and urban beauty. Native and climate-resilient trees such as Cannon Ball, Jackfruit, Shisham, Kadamb, Mahogany, Pink Poi, Bargad, Pipal, African Tulip, Neem, Karanj, Harshringar, Wild Badam, Indian Cork Tree, Jamun, Rudraksh, and Gulmohar were included for their diverse environmental and community benefits.

Cannon Ball and Harshringar add fragrance and visual appeal, while Jackfruit, Jamun, and Wild Badam offer nutritious fruit and food security. Shisham, Karanj, and Neem improve soil health and support biodiversity. Kadamb, Pink Poi, and African Tulip attract pollinators and brighten the landscape. Mahogany and Indian Cork Tree provide dense shade and help cool urban areas. Sacred trees like Bargad, Pipal, and Rudraksh contribute to spiritual and ecological well-being, while Gulmohar enhances visual aesthetics with its vibrant canopy.

Urban forests play a vital role in building resilient, sustainable cities that benefit both the environment and the people living there.

Advantages of Urban Forestry

  • Climate Regulation and Cooling Effect: Urban forests help mitigate the urban heat island effect by providing shade and cooling through transpiration, lowering temperatures in cities, reducing the need for air conditioning, and conserving energy.

  • Improved Air Quality: Trees absorb pollutants like carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter, leading to improved air quality and reducing the risk of respiratory illnesses in urban areas.

Activities During Tree Plantation

The tree plantation drive at Telecom layout, Dodda Thimmasandra Road, Near Oxford School, Sarjapur, Bengaluru, was marked by active employee participation, fostering a strong sense of environmental responsibility and teamwork. The event was carefully structured to ensure smooth execution and meaningful engagement.

The plantation activity began with the site readied through pre-dug pits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Saplings were carefully placed and positioned for optimal growth. Employees enthusiastically took part in planting native trees, deepening their understanding of sustainable practices and the ecological benefits of urban greening. Their hands-on involvement created a more immersive and fulfilling experience.
