Species Selection & Its Benefits: 

The species selected for NCR Voyix’s urban forestry initiative were thoughtfully chosen to align with the local ecosystem and deliver maximum ecological value. The plantation focused on a mix of ornamental, shade-providing, and fruit-bearing species.Plants such as Gudhal, Mehandi, Kaner, and Mogara were included for their ornamental beauty and ecological benefits, while fruit-bearing trees like Anar, Mango, and Jamun were selected to support biodiversity and provide food resources. Arjun was also included for its strong ecological and medicinal importance. Gudhal (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) is widely known for its vibrant flowers and medicinal value and is often used in traditional remedies for hair and skin care. Mehandi (Lawsonia inermis), commonly known as henna, is valued for its cooling properties and natural dye, and it also has medicinal uses in traditional practices.Kaner (Nerium oleander) is a hardy ornamental plant that enhances landscape beauty and helps create green urban spaces. Mogara (Jasminum sambac) is well known for its fragrant flowers and is widely appreciated for its cultural and aesthetic significance.Fruit-bearing species such as Anar (Punica granatum), Mango (Mangifera indica), and Jamun (Syzygium cumini) contribute to local food systems while also supporting birds and pollinators. Arjun (Terminalia arjuna) is a valuable native tree known for its medicinal properties, especially in traditional heart-related treatments, and it also helps strengthen soil and improve environmental stability.These species were chosen not only for their environmental benefits—such as improving air quality, enhancing biodiversity, and supporting pollinators—but also for their ability to beautify urban landscapes, provide shade, and offer food resources. Activities During Tree Plantation
