Tree Plantation Drive Kit: Slogans, Captions, a Speech and an Invite Email

A tree plantation drive needs four things beyond the saplings: a short slogan for the banner, an invite people actually open, a two-minute welcome that explains why the trees matter, and a plan for the three years of care after the photos. This kit gives you 12 banner slogans, 15 social media captions, three LinkedIn post templates, an invite email and a welcome speech you can copy and edit.
Organising a tree plantation drive? Use this kit for the invite, the banner and the posts, and let us handle the planting. Grow Billion Trees runs plantation drives for companies, schools and housing societies across 14 states: the site, native saplings, the day itself and three years of care, with every tree geo-tagged on GreenTrack. Plan a plantation drive or talk to our team.
Checklist: before, on the day, after
Four to six weeks before
- Choose the date. In most of India the monsoon months, roughly June to August, give saplings the best start.
- Confirm the site, who owns it, and who will water and protect the trees afterwards.
- Pick native species suited to the soil and rainfall, not just what the nursery has.
- Decide the number of saplings: one or two per participant is easy to manage in a two-hour drive.
One week before
- Send the invite (template below) with the time, address, what to wear and transport.
- Pits dug in advance save time and make the day safer. Arrange water, gloves, tools, first aid, shade and drinking water.
- Print the banner and sapling tags.
On the day
- A two-minute welcome (template below), then a short planting demo: depth, soil, watering, the tree guard.
- Pairs plant together; one person tags each sapling.
- Take one group photo with the banner and a few close-ups of people planting.
After
- Post the photos within 24 hours (captions below).
- Share a care plan: watering, weeding, guards, and who replaces saplings that fail.
- Report survival, not just planting, at the end of each year.

Two-minute welcome speech
Good morning, and thank you for being here.
Today we will plant [number] trees. They are native species, chosen for this soil and this rain, so they have the best chance of growing into a real forest. Each sapling will get a tag and a location, so you can come back, or check online, and see how your tree is doing.
There is an old line: "Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." Most of the shade from today's trees will fall on people we will never meet. That is the point.
One request: planting is the easy part. A sapling needs about three years of watering and protection before it can manage on its own, and [partner or team] will take care of that. Our job today is to plant well: the right depth, firm soil, and a good first drink of water.
Let's get our hands dirty. Thank you.

Sapling tag lines
Planted by [name], [date].
My tree, my responsibility.
Water me, I will shade you.
Growing since [date].
Planted for [person or occasion].
Check on me: [tree ID].
After the drive: care and reporting
Most of a plantation's success is decided after the drive. Plan for watering through the first dry season, weeding, tree guards against animals, and replacing saplings that fail. Measure survival at the end of each year, not just the number planted.
When Grow Billion Trees runs a drive, we care for the trees for three years and geo-tag every tree on GreenTrack, so your team can see each tree and you get a yearly report for CSR and sustainability records. 85% of trees survive across our programmes. Plan your plantation drive.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many saplings should we plan per person?
One or two per participant is comfortable in a two-hour drive, especially if the pits are dug in advance. Larger plantations are usually planted by a field team, with employees joining for part of it.
What is a good caption for a tree plantation drive?
"Not a team outing. A team planting." or "Today we planted [number] saplings at [place]. The next three years are about helping them grow." Short, specific captions with a number and a place work best.
What should a tree plantation speech include?
Why these trees and this place, a thank you, one memorable line, and who will care for the trees afterwards. Keep it to about two minutes.
What happens to the trees after the drive?
They need about three years of watering, weeding and protection. Agree who is responsible before the day, and ask for a yearly survival count.
Can Grow Billion Trees run the drive for us?
Yes. We handle the site, native saplings, the day and three years of care across 14 states, with every tree geo-tagged. Plan a plantation drive.
