Miyawaki forests
Dense native forests in cities
Automotive and mobility
We plant green belts at vehicle and tyre plants, CSR forests near your sites, and a geo-tagged tree for every vehicle your dealers sell.
400+ companies plant with us · 85% survival, program-wide · 14 states across India
Quick answer
Vehicle and tyre plants need the green belt their EC or consent sets, which under MoEFCC's 29 Oct 2025 OM ranges from 10% to 40% by category and location. Plantation does not help with CAFE-III fuel-efficiency norms, which apply from April 2027 and are met through efficient vehicles, EVs and fuels. It does help with CSR, BRSR Principle 6 and customer programmes such as one tree per vehicle sold.

Vehicle, tyre and component plants carry green belt duties. Dealers and mobility companies mostly plant for customers and CSR. EV makers make net-zero claims that need careful backing. The cards below show each driver and where planting helps.
| Driver | What it asks | How plantation helps | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green belt for new and pending ECs (MoEFCC OM, 2025) | Units inside industrial estates keep 15% (red) or 10% (orange) green belt. Standalone red units need 20–25%; critically polluted areas need 40%. | Yes: we design, plant and maintain the green belt. Off-site planting with government agencies is allowed if cared for five years. | MoEFCC OM of 29 Oct 2025 on green belt (CHEMEXCIL circular) |
| CAFE fuel-efficiency norms (Ministry of Power, CAFE-III 2027–32) | Car makers must meet fleet-average fuel consumption targets from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2032, tightening each year. | No: compliance comes from efficient vehicles, EVs, hybrids, flex-fuel, cleaner fuels and the credit rules. Tree planting is not a route. | DT Next: Govt notifies CAFE-3 norms (2026) |
| CSR spending (Companies Act 2013, s.135) | Companies with net worth of ₹500 crore, turnover of ₹1,000 crore or net profit of ₹5 crore must spend at least 2% of average net profit on CSR. | Yes: environmental sustainability and agroforestry are listed CSR activities. We run plantation as a CSR project with partner NGOs and geo-tagged reports. | Section 135 provisions (CSR Odisha, Government of Odisha) |
| BRSR Core assessment or assurance (SEBI, 2025) | The top 1,000 listed companies need assessment or assurance of BRSR Core from FY 2026-27. Principle 6 now also asks how many green credits were generated or procured. | Partly: plantation is disclosed under Principle 6 with geo-tagged, survival-checked data. It does not change your energy or emissions KPIs. | SEBI circular of 28 March 2025 on BRSR Core and value chain |
| Greenwashing guidelines (CCPA, 2024) | Environmental claims such as 'eco-friendly' or 'green' must be backed by credible evidence, data and a stated method. | Partly: GreenTrack records let you show exactly what was planted and where. Carbon figures stay estimates, and trees never replace cutting emissions. | ETV Bharat: Centre's greenwashing guidelines (2024) |
Vehicle and tyre plants are large sites with long boundaries. Read the green belt figure in your EC or consent, then plan dust-tolerant native species along roads and test tracks. Our green belt guide covers species and upkeep.
Dealers can plant a tree for every car or two-wheeler sold and hand the buyer a geo-tagged certificate. Each tree is a 2-3 ft sapling, cared for three years. Carbon Neutral Brands automates this per sale, and brand gifting covers service or loyalty milestones.
Planting does not reduce the emissions from making batteries or vehicles. Use trees as a supplement after cutting plant energy and supply chain emissions, and say so in your claims. See our net-zero support.
No. CAFE norms measure the fuel consumption of the vehicles you sell. They are met through efficient vehicles, EVs, hybrids, flex-fuel, cleaner fuels and the credit rules, not through plantation.
For each vehicle sold, we plant a 2-3 ft sapling, care for it for three years and geo-tag it. The buyer gets a certificate. Carbon Neutral Brands can run this per sale.
Be careful. The CCPA's 2024 guidelines require environmental claims to be backed by evidence and method. Trees are a supplement to cutting emissions, never a substitute, and our carbon figures are estimates.
Your EC or consent sets the figure. For new and pending ECs, the 2025 OM links it to pollution category and location, from 10% inside estates to 40% in critically polluted areas.
No. Trees do not reduce your own scope 1 or 2 emissions. We share carbon estimates for reporting, but offsetting is a supplement to cutting emissions, never a substitute. We do not sell carbon credits from these plantations.
Yes. We organise drives for dealer staff and customers near the showroom, or plant on their behalf and share geo-tagged photos for each tree.
Farmers keep the fruit and timber income from the trees on their land. Mixed fruit and timber models can give up to 3× farm income compared with conventional two-crop farming.
Pricing depends on the number of trees, the location and the programme. Each tree is a 2-3 ft sapling, planted, geo-tagged and cared for three years. Green belts, Miyawaki forests and larger CSR programmes are priced per project after a site survey. See the project cost estimator.
