Miyawaki forests
Dense native forests in cities
Travel, hospitality and events
We run tree-per-booking and green event programmes, plant hotel campus forests and deliver CSR plantation. Every tree is geo-tagged and cared for three years.
400+ companies plant with us · 85% survival, program-wide · 14 states across India
Quick answer
For most travel and hospitality firms, the main route is CSR, which requires at least 2% of average net profit of the last three years, preferring local areas. The Ministry of Tourism's sustainability criteria cover accommodation, tour operators and beaches, backwaters, lakes and rivers, but do not set a planting quota. Planting can supplement cuts to flight and event emissions, never replace them.

Every pin is a project with its own digital forest. Filter by programme or state, or search for a company.
Pins show the approximate area of each project, not exact plot locations. Updated 2026-10-07.

Hotels, airlines, travel companies and event organisers have no planting law of their own. The cards below show what does drive plantation: CSR, BRSR, tourism ministry guidance and guests who ask about impact.
| Driver | What it asks | How plantation helps | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| CSR spending (Companies Act 2013, s.135) | Companies above the thresholds spend at least 2% of average net profit of the three preceding years, preferring areas where they operate. | Yes: environmental sustainability is a CSR area. Forests near hotels, airports or destinations can be the local area. | PIB: Funds in Corporate Social Responsibility (Mar 2022) |
| BRSR Core and green credits disclosure (SEBI, 2025) | BRSR Core assessment or assurance reaches the top 1,000 listed entities in FY 2026-27; Principle 6 now asks about green credits. | Partly: geo-tagged plantation data supports Principle 6. It does not reduce reported scope 1 or 2 emissions. | SEBI circular on BRSR Core, value chain and green credits (Mar 2025) |
| Sustainable Tourism Criteria for India (Ministry of Tourism, 2014) | Criteria for accommodation, tour operators and beaches, backwaters, lakes and rivers. Hotel projects need STPs, rainwater harvesting, waste and energy measures. | Partly: trees are not among the listed measures. Native campus planting and water-body restoration can sit alongside them. | PIB: Sustainable Tourism Criteria for India (Apr 2017) |
| National Strategy for Sustainable Tourism (Ministry of Tourism, 2022) | Pillars include promoting environmental sustainability, protecting biodiversity and a certification scheme for sustainable tourism. | Partly: native forests and restored lakes near destinations support the biodiversity pillar. The strategy sets no planting quota. | PIB: Promotion of Green Tourism (Jul 2024) |
Use campus land for native trees, shade and a small Miyawaki forest. Resorts near lakes or ponds can add lake restoration to their CSR plan.
Plant species suited to the local climate and water. A survey comes before any design.
Measure first. Our carbon calculators give an estimate for flights, stays and events.
Then cut what you can: fewer flights, local food, less waste, cleaner power. Planting is a supplement to those steps, never a substitute, and the carbon figure stays an estimate.
A tree per booking, guest, ticket or finisher is easy to explain and easy to show. Each tree is geo-tagged on our one-tree-per-sale platform, and guests get a link to their tree.
Sports franchises can tie trees to match moments, and event teams can turn attendees into a planting day. See tree plantation drives.
Not on its own. Cut emissions first, then use planting as a supplement. Carbon figures from trees are estimates.
You choose the trigger, such as a booking, stay or ticket. We plant one geo-tagged tree for each and send a link the guest can open.
Pricing depends on the number of trees, the location and the programme. Each tree is a 2-3 ft sapling, planted, geo-tagged and cared for three years. Campus and lake projects are priced per project after a site survey.
The criteria we have seen list STPs, rainwater harvesting, waste and energy measures, not tree planting. Native planting can sit alongside those measures.
Yes. We plant after the event, geo-tag each tree and share the forest page with participants and fans.
Yes, environmental sustainability is an eligible CSR area, and the law prefers local areas. Read our CSR plantation page.
No. We do not sell carbon credits from these plantations.
